God desires for you to demonstrate love and trust. Notice the word is *demonstrate*. Not simply say the words, but actually do the action. Did your spouse, family member, or significant other say something hurtful to you? Respond (demonstrate) in love. God will handle the rest.
"...we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love..." - Colossians 1:4
Have you ever sat and really thought about how amazing the grace of God is? Amazing Grace is not just a famous song or cliche. It is something that affects your life…and your destiny.
"...[That] day you heard and understood the grace of God as it really is." - Colossians 1:6
People (including pastors and teachers of the Word) should not become proud or wise in their own eyes regarding their sermons or the words they preach. It is the Holy Spirit that gives them knowledge and understanding. Without the Spirit, their words are meaningless.
"...asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will in all the wisdom and understanding which the Spirit gives." Colossians 1:9
God will give you continued strength, perseverance, patience, and joy in ANY circumstance you face. Believe it.
"...pray that you will be continually strengthened with all the power that comes from His glorious might; so that you will be able to persevere and be patient in any situation, joyfully giving thanks." Colossians 1:11
Not only is Christ your rescuer, but He is also your planter. He rescued us not to just say that He did. But He did it in order to give you a brand new life and eternal destiny.
"He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of His dear Son. It is through His Son that we have redemption — that is, our sins have been forgiven." Colossians 1:13-14
God, I am so thankful for Your grace and Redemption. Every year, every day, every moment you offer me a brand new start. Thank You for the hope I have in You.
