Are you going through a season in your life where it feels like you are struggling to keep your head above water? You have been treading frantically, trying to keep yourself moving, pushing yourself to the limits all the while feeling your strength weaken with each passing moment only to look around and see you are exactly where you started; stuck in the same place. There is never a feeling more disheartening than that. It would be difficult for anyone not to be overcome with despair and complete hopelessness.

It’s a good thing, then, that we have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who can walk on water. He sees you and your struggle. He knows what you have been going through: the effort, the rejection, the pain, the hurt, the fear. Maybe you have been trying to go at it on your own because that is the only way you know how. Or maybe you don’t think God could possibly understand your situation, or even really cares, and won’t bother to help you anyway.

God does care and He wants to help you. He only wants to hear it from you, from your own voice that He loves so much. Tell Him what you are struggling with and that you desperately need His deliverance. Have faith that He will answer and then watch your world begin to change.

God, I can't do this anymore. I am trying so hard to move forward but nothing is happening. I am treading water to nowhere and there is no help in sight. I will soon be overtaken by these waters. Please, come to my rescue. I need Your help.

Jonah 1:13-14;15-16 – “Nevertheless, the men rowed hard, trying to reach the shore. But they couldn’t because the sea kept growing wilder against them. Finally they cried to Adonai…then the sea stopped raging…and they offered a sacrifice to Adonai and made vows.”
